How tea makes rainy days better

Favorite Pick for Rainy Season

Lapsang Souchong

One tea that I can recommend to pair with this soothing nature is Lapsang Souchong! Wow, awesome smoky flavors. A perfect combination of rain, grey skies, and cold air, isn’t it? It’s almost like sipping from a steeped campfire. I love the rainy season

Unique in its preparations, and originally from the mountainous Wuyi region in the province of Fujian in China. It is different from other varieties of tea, as the tea leaves are usually smoke-dried over pinewood fires.

This smoky tea is noted for its rich aromas and tastes which include pine resin, wood smoke, smoked paprika, hints of dried longan and the evocation of peated whiskey.

It is common for even rather strongly brewed Lapsang Souchong tea to lack the bitterness common with other tea varieties. Yum!

Of course, on days like these, the ONLY way to kill the time (without the guilt of sleeping heavily all bloody weekend) is to read a good book while you steep and sip.

Currently in my hands “American Kingpin: The Epic Hunt For The Criminal Mastermind Behind The Silk Road”. What a read! I love a good true crime story, it’s my guilty pleasure I guess!

What is yours? What was the last book you read? Will you steep some leaves and begin your next book today? Tell me your thoughts in the comments.

I’ll leave you with this:
